ABOUT ANNALS
Current issue for Annals.org Reader for Palm OS (requires the Annals.org reader).
Current issue for wireless access.
Click here for previous issues (requires the Annals.org reader).
If you have the Annals.org reader you may download collections such as the United States Preventive Services Guidelines, ACP Practice Guidelines, and On Being a Doctor and On Being a Patient essays.
The Annals of Internal Medicine makes electronic decision aids freely available to the public for selected articles published by the Annals. Click here to register for the Annals Decision Aid application for Palm OS. Registration is required so we can e-mail you whenever the application is updated or if future research changes the role of any of our decision aids. Download instructions will be emailed to you shortly after registration.
We are releasing this application on a trial basis. If the application is successful and used frequently, we will continue to add more decision aids to the application.
To facilitate understanding and use of the decision aid, we carefully descibe criteria for abnormal clinical findings. We critically appraise prediction rules included in the decision aid with standard markers of quality to help users judge the validity of the predictions.
To ensure the decision aid remains appropriate in clinical care, we will monitor future literature using HighWire's CiteTrack, ISI Web of Science, and an annual contact with the author of the article that the decision aid is taken from.
